NBC had high hopes for DWTST. Unfortunately, that was all it had. Playing on a hunch that America would embrace the dancing skills of substitute teachers from across the country, NBC gave the DWTST a Friday 9:30 pm slot and held its collective breath. Although Tony Rennard (pictured on the far left), a shop class sub from Spokane, did have some nifty moves, the judges were unsure if the split pants in the middle of Irene Cara’s Flashdance favorite “What a Feeling!”  were part of the routine or the result of one too many feed sessions at the Golden Corral.  KoookaBoooka supports this unique programming and wishes for more of the same.  Few people on the planet suffer like substitute teachers and their brief moment in the sun was long overdue and way too short.
